Hello,
I have noticed that my HP Victus laptop's CPU is overheating when I use the high-performance mode power plan. however, when I switch to the balance mode, the temperature is normal. For instance, in performance mode, the GPU temperature ranges from 50-65°C, but the CPU temperature is around 80-100°C. On the other hand, in balance mode, the GPU temperature is 50-60°C, and the CPU temperature is the 50-69°C.
I was thinking of using Honeywell PTM7950 to repaste the CPU and GPU. What do you think? Also, could you tell me what type of thermal paste/pads HP uses, just in case I need to add more if the thermal pad needed for the other parts that isn't for GPU and CPU cooling.
