OMEN Laptop - 15-en0007ax
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My CPU is running on extremely high temperatures. While gaming 100 degrees Celsius or more is pretty normal. It never goes down 90 degrees while gaming. When surfing the web it can reach 70 or even 80 degrees. I bought the laptop in 2021 and never noticed an issue like this. Just recently I've noticed that the laptop is quite hot and decided to check the temperatures. Who can help? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... and I would like to help you.

With constant overheating, the thermal paste for CPU, GPU and bridges dries out and loses its function and must therefore be renewed !

In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
- Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges should be renewed
- The function of the fan(s) must be checked
- General cleaning ...

HP warranty is valid => HP Support Technician should do it.

No HP warranty => You should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

Thank you. I'm currently in a country where there is no HP service centre. The laptop is under warranty however. How much a procedure like that should cost? Average?

Oh by the way. I've tried to play with the laptop not plugged in. The FPS was horrific, obviously, but CPU temp was 50 degrees Celsius. As soon as I plugged it in the temperature rose to 100 degrees.

In this case please Contact HP Support, could be power charger or mainboard issue. HP should fix it !

Good luck
