HP OMEN 15-en0039nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello All,

So first post is me having some troubles of course. So I bought OMEN 15-en0039nw like 2 or 3 days ago and slowly I'm testing some stuff. First, I have noticed that there's a strangely high CPU temp while laptop is idle/or doing some really light work and it mostly happens when the laptop is charging. Just plugging/unplugging charger puts like 10-15 degrees difference and not sure if it's some strange overclocking but it puts some strain on the fans. I can't even use browser whitout them running pretty loud.

2nd thing is, while playing I was monitoring how temperature goes and there's around 20-25 degrees difference between CPU and GPU. And CPU here is heating pretty freaking fast.

Overwatch, high settings (144hz)

Any idea what to do?

Hi@DunnoWhadUpYo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is overheating.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I would like to inform you that 90C is normal on the gaming computer. I recommend you use the Omen command center to change the settings which suit your needs.
