OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck1000 (509V8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I just got my laptop back after a month from repair to change the chassis, which I was informed would have taken even longer, but when I emailed back expressing my frustration, the laptop was sent back in perfect shape within a few days. I got the laptop back, and it looks good now, but now I am having issues with high temperatures and the CPU Temps spiking whenever something is booted up. CPU temps will randomly spike while I am watching youtube.

I have seen the temperatures randomly spiking to 80*C on boot and when sitting idle and staying there for a few minutes. I initially thought it was a ventilation issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case, as the temperature will still randomly spike to 80-90*C while it has been set on a cooling pad with lots of room for air. Having the fans set to maximum or 95% doesn't decrease the temperatures during my testing and creates a small yet noticeable high-pitched noise.

I notice the temperatures spiking from 40*C to 80*C as soon as I boot up a GPU-intensive game while the laptop is plugged in; the CPU will reach 80-90*C on 15% usage. If the same game is run when the laptop is not plugged in, the temperatures remain at 40-50*C at 25-30% usage. Omen hub is also not tracking the CPU temperatures properly when comparing the temperatures shown on other applications such as MSI and HWMonitor. This is an issue as the fans are controlled by the Omen hub's CPU temp reading, and I do not want the fans running at maximum or close to the maximum each time I boot up a game or decide to work on something. Additionally, the speakers now sound hollow and tinny.

I am hesitant even to send in my laptop to be looked at because last time, the repair took over a month and some days to replace the chassis because it came back damaged after the first repair from HP. The battery for this laptop had already needed to be replaced 2-3 times now, as that was the main culprit of high temps when I had first gotten the laptop. I did not have any time to test the temps after HP had replaced the battery as the unit was sent back damaged.

I am reluctant to send in my laptop again for repairs or have it looked at, as this is the only working unit I use for my work. If I need to get a laptop repaired or looked at 4-5 times in nearly a year, I would at least expect a replacement, as obviously there is something severely wrong with this unit. I have tried calling OMEN tech support, but the automated system has left me on hold multiple times for long periods. Overall, this has not been a great experience at all.

Additionally, after testing the speakers using the built-in sound test, there is audio crackling, which explains the symptom/cause of why the audio now sounds much worse.
