Hello everybody, I am writing this as a message for help. I have bought a gaming laptop (HP OMEN 15) in October, the dc0008nq version with i5 8300H and GTX 1050Ti which I managed to upgrade by adding an aditional 8GB ram stick and a 512GB m.2. type SSD. After getting the SSD, I have formated the HDD for a fresh instalation of Windows 10, everything well untill I managed to install CS:GO, the only game I play besides my music production job. I noticed right away by checking the temperatures of my cpu with RealTemp/ CPU Temp that my idle temps are in the high 40 lower 50 (somewhere around 46 to 52), and that only when I`m surfing on Chrome/ Facebook/ YouTube, but, as I fired the game I saw that my temperatures went to as high as 96 with a 80-87 constant fluctuation. Before installing the SSD/ Ram stick I didn`t really check the temps while gaming via MSI Afterburner but I am pretty sure that went as high as 77 degrees (Celsius). After checking in game, I checked while rendering a song from my DAW and went to 82 aswell. I mention that I have already tried undervolting my cpu(-0.150mV stable) and used ThrottleStop and disabled BD PROCHOT, nothing seemed to work. I also tried maximum performance mode on battery settings, processor minimum state 0% and maximum 70%, external cooler + comfort mode in OMEN Command Center. Also my fps is considerably lower, from an AVG of 220 on CSGO now it has lows of 100 and never hits 300 as it used to, as you can see in the photo, 200+ fps it`s alright but it has some drops to 100-120 while temperature is rising and the keyboard becames untouchable after 30-40 minutes in the game.
TL;DR: Windows 10 64-bit PRO, fresh install ( 4 days ago), high cpu temps(as high as 90 celsius) all after ram+ssd upgrade.

HY
U might have touch something around the heat pipe or the game is using only 2 cores, turn on CPU USAGE in MSI afterburner.
It can be uneven heat sink. This can be caused by not properly tightening down the heat sink assembly (i.e. over tightening one of the screws etc), faulty heat sink, or using to much or to little thermal paste.
Hope it hepls

Checked again, nothing wrong hardware side(just by looking), after installing hp coolsense and realised that high temps while idle are because of throttlestop (that keeps my cpu at 4.1ghz constant) and while in CSGO my temps dropped from as high as 90 to max of 72 ~65 avg wich is alright for me. I will get my laptop repasted with liquid metal and cleaned and maybe i`ll get ~35 avg while idling, although my cpu freq dropped now to 1.6ghz without stopthrottling and makes a bit choppy even browsing but I`ll get used to it.
Temps without throttlestop + hp coolsense on
Temps with throttlestop on + hp coolsense on
Throttlestop settings (maybe i did something wrong) + I undervolted my cpu to -0.155mV with xtu not with throttlestop, I only use it for constant 4.1ghz (no OC) + disabling BD PROCHOT

After almost one hour of only browsing/ watching videos on youtube, those are my temps (without intel xtu/ throttlestop + hp coolsense on)
When i put videos in fullscreen/ browsing newsfeed on Facebook it goes to as high as 47-48 for 1-2 seconds then comes back go 43~44.
I also capped my framerate to ~150 fps in csgo so that way it won`t go lower than 144fps (I have the model il 144hz ips panel) and my temps in game dropped to 65 to 72!
