Hi @AnshumanKumar,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To access advanced options in the BIOS of your OMEN by HP 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop PC, you may need to unlock hidden settings that are typically not visible to standard users. Here are the steps you can try to access these advanced settings and adjust the hardware reserved memory.
Accessing Advanced BIOS Settings
Enter BIOS Setup:
- Restart your laptop.
- As soon as the HP logo appears, press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
- Press F10 to enter the BIOS Setup.
Unlock Advanced BIOS Options:
- If there are no advanced options visible, some laptops allow accessing these settings by pressing a specific key combination. This is not guaranteed to work on all models and may not be supported by HP. Common key combinations to try include:
- Pressing A while in the BIOS setup.
- Pressing F2 followed by A.
- Holding Shift + F10 or Ctrl + F10.
BIOS Update:
- Make sure your BIOS is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, advanced options are added in later BIOS updates.
- Download the latest BIOS update from the HP Support website.
Adjusting Hardware Reserved Memory
Check Integrated Graphics Settings:
- If your laptop uses integrated graphics, some of the system memory might be reserved for it. Look for options related to integrated graphics or video memory in the BIOS settings and reduce the amount allocated.

Windows Memory Settings:
- msconfig Utility:
- Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
- Go to the Boot tab and click on Advanced options.
- Uncheck the Maximum memory box if it's checked.
- Click OK and restart your laptop.
System Configuration:
- Right-click Start and select System.
- Click Advanced system settings.
- Under Performance, click Settings.
- Go to the Advanced tab and click Change under Virtual Memory.
- Ensure that the option Automatically manage paging file size for all drives is checked.
Update Drivers:
- Make sure all your system drivers, especially for the chipset and graphics, are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause incorrect memory allocation.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's possible that the hardware reserved memory allocation is a design feature of your laptop's hardware and firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
