Omen 15 En-0000z
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Omen has a thunderbolt USB C input which could be used to charge the laptop. I currently go back and forth from school to home. My laptop cannot survive the 8 hours I need it. The charger is very big. Not to mention, I had spinal fusion in November and September. I also have carpal tunnel so having to plug it into my outlet hurts my hand.

USB C charging is quite convenient for my current situation. I bought a bag that has a place for a power bank. I just need to know how much mAh I need to charge. If you have a specific bank in mind, please link it.

@Paige100-

Omen 15 En-0000z is an invalid model/product. In general, HP Omen 15-en0xxx machines require 200W charger. I did a test on my HP Omen 15 with 65W and 90W USB-C chargers.

  • The 65W only charges when machine is off
  • The 90W charges when machine is on but idle and when off.

In short: at this stage, we do not have USB-C chargers for HP Omen machines BUT you can use 90W charger to keep your machine running a bit longer. Note: you still have to carry the charger with you, it is lighter, that's all.

I was on with HP Support yesterday. They said it did have USB C charging, but needed a certain amount of mAh which I can't remember. HP doesn't offer a way for me to look at the transcript as far as I know, so I can't go back and look.

I did say yes, you can but you need a charger with 90W or more. With 90W, you can charge machine when idle or not in use. Please use the following online converter to get mAh
