Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In this model, the backlight keyboard can be turned on by pressing the F5 button and again to adjust the brightness or to turn it off. I noticed when on, the keyboard stays lit for only 30 seconds of inactivity before going off again. I have seen people going to the bios to change the timeout settings but I could not see such option in the bios. Is there any other way to do this? Or did I miss something within the bios?

Hello @Ammunizers

Unfortunately, if that option is not available in your bios, the system doesn't have it.

All I can offer is to check your bios version. if its not the latest (currently F.21), then run the update for it.

To see what version you have, you can open the HP Support Assistant. Or you can also press the Ctrl/Alt/S keys to open an info window. Do this first before running the update.

Update for F.21  sp103490.exe

Do not have any other things open or running when you update and do not power off the PC until the updater is finished.
