Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e1000 (53G36AV)

So system requirements for Dragon Age Veilguard are out and it has a note that says "AMD CPUs on Windows 11 require AGESA V2 1.2.0.7". I have a Victus 16-e1000 with a Ryzen 5 6600 so I checked what version of AGESA do I have with HWiNFO and it says I have "RembrandtPI-FP7r2 1.0.0.A". If I'm not mistaken, that's V2 1.0.0.A.

I googled around how to update it and it's attached to the BIOS version, updating the BIOS should update AGESA. However I have the last BIOS version (F.22, from 07/2024) according to the HP Support Assitant and for what I've seen around, AGESA 1.2.0.7 has been out since 2022.

Is there a different way to update it or is just that HP is not releasing updates for AGESA?

Thanks everybody.

No, my decive is a Victus 16-E1000 (53G36AV), not a 15-Fb0000 (598U8AV), detected with the HP Support Assistant App.

HI @RalkaiShagtten ,

Thank you for the reply

You're right that AGESA is tied to the BIOS version, and updating the BIOS typically updates the AGESA version. However, HP manages its own BIOS updates for its systems, and the version of AGESA included in its BIOS releases may not always match the latest versions available elsewhere, like those released directly by AMD.

Here's what you can do:

Check for Updated BIOS on HP's Website: Even though HP Support Assistant says you have the latest BIOS (F.22), it’s a good idea to manually check HP's support page for your specific model (Victus 16-e1000). Sometimes HP releases BIOS updates on their site before pushing them to the Support Assistant tool.

Refer to this document: Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e1000 Drivers

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Ok, I'll check through the webpage from time to time too, though right now the latest availlable BIOS update to download is F.20 Rev.A from nearly a year ago (and aparently there's no downloads for Windows 11 23H2).

It just seems like HP has decided not to update AGESA for wathever reason.
