I've read that the Win 11Build 25977 now includes blu tooth support for hearing aids!  Since I have NO hearing on one side, and reduced hearing on the other, and since I have a relatively new set of blue tooth hearing aids, is there any way I can install the Build 25977 upgrade now and test it?    (My current Build is 22631)

Hi @bherber,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To update your Windows 11 system to a specific build, such as Build 25977, which includes Bluetooth support for hearing aids, you can follow these steps. However, it's important to note that accessing specific builds directly may depend on their availability through the Windows Insider Program or as a general release update. Here's a general guide on how to proceed:

Join the Windows Insider Program:

  • To get early access to new builds, you'll need to join the Windows Insider Program. This program allows users to test upcoming features and updates before they are widely released.
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program on your PC.
  • Click on Get started and link your Microsoft account.
  • Follow the prompts to choose your Insider settings. For the latest builds, select the Dev Channel or Beta Channel as they receive updates more frequently.

Check for Updates:

  • After joining the Windows Insider Program and selecting your preferred channel, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on Check for updates. If Build 25977 is available for your channel, it should appear here as an available update.

Download and Install the Update:

  • If the update is available, you can download and install it as you would with any other Windows update.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Your computer may restart several times during this process.

Pair Your Bluetooth Hearing Aids:

  • Once your system is updated, you can try pairing your Bluetooth hearing aids by going to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is on, and select Add Bluetooth or other device to start the pairing process with your hearing aids.

Important Considerations:

  • Backup Your Data: Before updating, especially to a preview build, it's wise to back up your important files and data. Preview builds can be unstable and may cause issues.
  • Check Hardware Compatibility: Ensure your Bluetooth hearing aids are compatible with the new Windows 11 Bluetooth features.
  • Windows Insider Program: Being part of this program means you'll receive early builds, which may contain bugs or unfinished features. Be prepared for potential instability.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
