Hi @refizar,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Laptop that has an error.

Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • NVIDIA/AMD Graphics: If your laptop has a dedicated GPU, go to the NVIDIA or AMD website and download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
  • Integrated Graphics: For Intel integrated graphics, visit the Intel website to get the latest driver.

Reinstall Graphics Drivers:

  • Uninstall the current graphics driver via Device Manager. Right-click the Start menu, select "Device Manager," expand "Display adapters," right-click on your graphics card, and choose "Uninstall device." Check the option to delete the driver software if available.
  • Restart your laptop and reinstall the latest driver you downloaded.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates.

Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  • HP laptops often come with built-in diagnostic tools. Restart your laptop and press F2 to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics menu. Run the full suite of tests to check for any hardware issues.

Check for Overheating:

  • Overheating can cause GPU issues. Make sure your laptop’s cooling system is working properly. Clean any vents or fans if necessary.

Check System Files:

  • Corrupted system files can cause BSOD errors. Run the System File Checker tool by opening Command Prompt as an administrator and typing sfc /scannow. This will check and repair any corrupted system files.

Check for Conflicting Software:

  • Sometimes, third-party software can cause conflicts with graphics drivers. Boot into Safe Mode and see if the BSOD still occurs. If not, a recently installed program might be the culprit.

Perform a System Restore:

  • If the issue started recently, you might be able to resolve it by restoring your system to a previous state. Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System > System Protection > System Restore.

If the issue still persists:

Please click on this link to perform a recovery on your Laptop.  (Take a backup of the data before performing a recovery)

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hi, I have tried the above solutions and it did not solve the issue. It still keeps happening. If I disable or uninstall my GPU drivers completely my system remains stable and I am able to do light tasks such as web browsing.

I am sharing the minidump and another file I found after the latest BSOD, Please have a look if it helps pin point the error.

Also, I want to ask if the power supply [aka power adapter] or the internal power cable [aka the DC input jack 150W] could be causing this issue as not enough power is getting delivered to the GPU?
