OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-n0000 (5B1T6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

i was using my Omen Laptop 16-n0000 (windows 11) normally, using a external monitor. The external monitor is a 1080p display and the laptop resolution is 1440p.  After shutting down the laptop and booting it back up, it wont show up anything on the laptop screen or the external monitor, i can login and enter my desktop but it wont connect to any display. I have been using show only on display 2 setting in windows 11 to only show the screen on my external monitor. Now it wont connect to any displays and i cant seem to be able to change it to show on all displays or extend these displays setting. i have tried to use FN + F1 that usually changes the display but nothing happens, i can use all the other function keys like the mute button and hear the desktop. It might have something to do with fast boot since i have had no problems before until i shut down the laptop manually and rebooted it today with the external monitor instead of the restart option in windows. it could also be a hardware issue but i dont know why the display would suddendly stop working after one shut down and reboot and everything else works fine.

Hi @Pepeja,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Excellent description and a great diagnosis. It is greatly appreciated.

I understand that this is Hardware issue. But the support here is limited to software troubleshooting. However, since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who would have an option to schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
