HP Omen 17- an124nv
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi!

I have a serious issue with my laptop HP Omen 17- an124nv that i bought one year ago...Three days ago i switched off normally before to go to sleep. The next day i woke up and the laptop didn't turning on. When i plugged, the power led was blinking like 5 seconds light on and one second light off...i don't know how to manage it also because i'm living far far away from my country (where also i bought it) and if is something easy i want to avoid to send it back there. From the other side i dont know if i can bring it for insurance service here where i am (Spain) because im afraid to loose the garancy

Thank you in advance!

@theomauro,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is not booting to Windows and you are not getting any display on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

While you respond to that, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

1.        Turn off the computer.

2.        Remove the computer from any port replicator or docking station.

3.        Disconnect all external connected peripheral devices, such as USB storage devices, external displays, and printers.

4.        Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

5.        Remove the battery from the battery compartment.

6.        Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds to drain residual electrical charge from the capacitors that protect the memory.

7.        Insert the battery and plug the AC adapter back into the notebook, but do not connect any of the peripheral devices.

8.        Press the Power button to turn on the computer.

9.        On the Options screen, select Continue and continue to Windows 10.

10.      If a startup menu opens, use the arrow keys to select Start Windows Normally, then press the Enter key.

11.      Reconnect each of the peripheral devices.

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps.
