Hp omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i undervolted using omen command center (auto undervolt, I didn’t do it). I go back to my game and suddenly the pc turns off.

it’s not turning back on, no LED, nothing is turning on even charging port LED is off.

i did the basic steps that found like removing battery and draining the pc then try to turn it on but nothing seems to work.

i got a voltmeter, i inspected the AC adapter, at first it gave a reading but then i tested once again, it’s won’t read anything. Power cord to the adapter is good.

i even tried to test the battery with the voltmeter. And I wasn’t getting anything!!! Not sure if i tested the wrong pins, but i checked if pins that are red and the others that are black.

why would the PC turn iff immediately?? If it was the AC adapter.

i have finals next week and it decided to do this now! On a weekend!

Hi @oKuxy

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice. We’d hate for you to be stuck with a product, which does not work.

May I know if you have made any recent changes to your system?

Do you see any signs of power in your system?

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps

Do you see a light at the place where the charger connects to the laptop? If yes then it indicates that the charger is all fine.

I recommend you perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Remove the battery. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.

If the laptop does not power on then please continue with the below steps:

  • Disconnect the charger and remove the battery.
  • Connect only the battery and check if the laptop powers on.
  • Likewise, remove the battery out (if removal battery ) and connect only the charger, and check if that helps.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
