Hello,

 

I have  an HP  pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0xxx.

 

I see in the specs that the usb-c only support data transfer, is it possible to make the usb-c display on a monitor with a dock like this ? -> https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-usb-c-dock

I can have one at work 😛

No, it won't work with true USB-C dock, you won't be able to connect to external monitor. The dock works on a machine which has USB-C Alt mode port as mentioned

 

   For USB-C® functionality, host PC must support the DisplayPort™ Alt mode protocol through its USB-C® port.
