I have a Victus 16.1 laptop, and despite having a powerful graphics card, I’m experiencing random FPS drops in most games. All my system specs are up to date, and I’ve tweaked various Windows settings to improve game performance. However, I’m still getting drops even when playing games at low quality. In fact, in some games, the chances of encountering drops decrease when I increase the quality. This has led me to wonder if my laptop is not using the dedicated GPU. Also, my laptop has 16GB of RAM – could this be contributing to the drops? Would upgrading it be more beneficial?
Additionally, I’ve noticed that when I first start a game, there’s no problem, but as time goes on and my laptop heats up (maybe it’s related to overheating), the frequency and duration of FPS drops increase. I even recall playing with extreme stuttering for about 5 minutes straight. I’ve been dealing with this issue for a long time and would appreciate any help in finding a solution.
To give some examples, I rarely experience FPS drops in games like Valorant and League of Legends, but I do get them in CS2, FC 25, F1 24, and pretty much any game outside of Riot Games.
Thank you in advance.
