Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I reformat my laptop because its slow and it has many unimportant files. Then, after I reformat it, I checked the ram and I only got 1gb usable and I haven't installed a single app, How can I free some of my ram?

@Brickooo

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting 1GB usable RAM after reinstalling windows.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

How did you reinstall Windows?

Did you install a retail copy of Windows? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  1. Click Start. , type msconfig in the Search programs and files box, and then click msconfig in the Programs list.
  2. In the System Configuration window, click Advanced options on the Boot tab.
  3. Click to clear the Maximum memory check box, and then click OK.
  4. Restart the computer.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
