Dear HP Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek your assistance regarding my Victus Gaming Laptop (Model: 15-fa0350TX, Serial Number: 6N028PA), which has been experiencing persistent issues since the motherboard was replaced under warranty on December 26, 2024.
Below, I’ve outlined a detailed timeline of the problems I have encountered:
December 26, 2024:
On the day the motherboard was replaced, I noticed severe FPS drops during GPU-intensive activities, such as gaming (e.g., Genshin Impact) and using software like Adobe After Effects.
December 27, 2024:
I reached out to HP Customer Care for help. However, I was unable to download the diagnostic tool suggested by your team. As a result, a callback was scheduled for the following day.
December 28, 2024:
Unfortunately, I was unavailable to take the scheduled call and did not use the laptop that day.
December 29, 2024:
2 PM: While playing Valorant, I experienced intermittent disconnections from the left USB port. The issue occurred with both my keyboard and mouse, suggesting it was unrelated to the peripherals. The port would randomly stop working, then resume functionality after 10–15 minutes or following a system restart.
5 PM: In an attempt to troubleshoot the USB issue, I followed an online guide and uninstalled the USB driver. After restarting the laptop, the screen glitched, went black, and the Caps Lock key began blinking an error code (3 slow blinks followed by 2 fast blinks), indicating a memory failure.
December 30, 2024:
When I contacted HP Support again and shared the timeline of issues, I was informed that the problem might be due to a faulty RAM chip, and a replacement was scheduled.
While I appreciate the support provided so far, I believe the recurring problems, including:
The USB port failing intermittently during GPU-heavy tasks, and
The sudden memory failure error code after a driver-related restart,
are more indicative of a faulty motherboard than dgmee.com a RAM issue.
I kindly request a detailed inspection of the laptop and escalation of this matter to ensure the root cause is correctly identified. If the motherboard is indeed at fault, I request a replacement under warranty to restore the laptop’s proper functionality.

Thank you for your time and attention. Please let me know how we can proceed to resolve these issues promptly.

It seems your replacement may have a problem.
The diagnostic download can be installed as follows
HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically. When you select F2 during boot you are requesting UEFI diagnostics. There is an updated diagnostics package Click Here Look for the phrase 'issues outside the OS', Expand the '+' symbol and click the DOWNLOAD button. The version of the UEFI diagnostics is shown at the left of that DOWNLOAD button. When you press F2 to run diagnostics please ensure the version is the new one. |
If you fail diagnostics then have it serviced again.
Was a factory restore performed?
