17-cb0043nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

Have an inquiry. I just bought the 17-cb0043nw laptop, brand new. After the Windows configuration Set up, on the black background screen I have noticed white spots on the LED screen. They are visible only on the dark background, Didn't touch anything, only opened up the brand new laptop. Nevertheless, wanted to ask if there is any way to fix it? p.
Or can I expect it to be replaced due to the warranty?

Kind regards,

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

let’s try these steps in order to isolate the issue.

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

@echo_lake thank you for your reply. I did so, and I can still see those in bios. I guess this can be sorted out with the HP door-to-door warranty?

Kind regards,
