Hello,
As it is clearly advertised in the specs of this laptop:
https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/omen-by-hp-15-dc1088nr
It comes with Intel integrated graphics. I can see the driver here:
I have installed the driver but the Intel GPU does not appear in Device Manager nor I have any way to switch to it.
Does someone know what am I missing here? 😞

I suggest that you contact the HP executive team at the link below.
https://ssl.www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/connect-with-hp.html
As far as the rest of the specs, I guess you can go down the list and make sure your notebook has everything else they say it does.
I must say that you are the first person I know of that is upset by this.
Everyone else complains about the switchable graphics, and how they can't get the Nvidia graphics adapter to come on when they want it to, etc, etc.
I know I would never want a notebook with switchable graphics.

Hi:
The specs are incorrect.
Your notebook has the discrete Nvidia graphics only.
See chapter 1, page 1 of the service manual.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06219881
Only 15-dcxxxx models without the Nvidia graphics have the onboard Intel graphics.
HP puts all of the drivers for the entire model series on the support pages.
Some of the drivers are not applicable to each specific model number.

WOW!!! is there a way I can confirm this with HP? This is such an obvious case of false advertisement! 😠
How can I even trust the rest of the spec? Do you know if the rest is also inaccurate?

Well I have a couple of issues with this.
One is I purchased a laptop with those specs but now it is missing parts. So I feel like I've been cheated.
Second is that the Nvidia card is power hungry and kills the battery life slowly over couple of years. I only want it active when I'm playing games or using graphic design apps. In my personal xp, laptops with integrated graphics have longer battery life and overheat less.
Thank you so much for the executive link. I'll be contacting them shortly.

Just to updates on this:
1. Emailed via the exec URL, got a pending response within a day from a regional representative who didn't provide their name
2. Got a call a few days later, the guy was convinced the Integrated chip is there but it's "hidden" and will not show up on Device Manger. I asked him what's the use of it then? How do I activate it? why is it on the spec page? he couldn't answer any of those so he connected me to customer support.
3. After a long hold, I spoke to someone from tech support. They confirmed the Integrated chip is actually missing contrary to what the first rep was telling me. They said they can't do anything about the spec page and connected me to sales.
4. after a very long hold, I spoke with someone in sales. They put me on another hold for a long time and then just hung up on me. It's been more than a few hours and I haven't received a call back.
So apart from lying on the spec page, wasting an hour of my time waiting on various calls with multiple people, they confirmed the integrated chip is missing but didn't do anything about it. That was a total waste of time and garbage customer service!
