In the security bulletins issued by HP and Intel, it is shown that Intel processors have security vulnerabilities, the 6th Generation Intel Core Processors are affected. However, HP did not provide BIOS updates for the HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ak000 series Notebook PC and some other 6th Generation Intel Core Processors devices, or even listed them into the list.

HP has repeatedly ignored the Intel security vulnerabilities in this model and some other consumer products. After multiple Intel security vulnerabilities were publicly released, HP did not provide BIOS updates and was not included them in the list, exposing users’ computers to security risks.
Hope that HP will add this device to the affected list immediately, and provide relevant BIOS updates as soon as possible to prevent users from suffering losses. If there is no plan to continue maintaining this device, it should provide the reference information of the device BIOS and provide the public Intel programs allows users to maintain updates themselves.
Please update and maintain these programs to the latest version when you release the BIOS update:
Intel processor microcode
Intel Management Engine (Consumer)
Embedded Controller (EC)
Intel VBIOS
NVIDIA VBIOS
Intel GOP
PXE ROM
TPM firmware
