Hi Forum

I am thinking of buying the HP Omen 16-b0158TX laptop

Is the memory upgradeable without voiding the warranty?

How high can you go?  32Gb?  64gb?

Is anything else upgradeable without voiding the warranty?

The SSD?

Can you put in a 2TB SSD?

Thanks for any feedback,

CameronCoffee

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook's model series.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info and supported drive types.

Your notebook has two memory slots and can support 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.

HP wants any upgrades to be performed by an authorized service center.

Since we don't work for or represent HP, we are not authorized to discuss warranty terms and conditions.

Generally speaking, you can do the work yourself but if you break anything in the process of doing the upgrades, naturally the warranty would become null and void.

If the notebook needs warranty service, you will have to return it to its original hardware configuration before sending it to HP for repairs.

I suppose you could install a 2 TB NVMe SSD if you wanted to but HP only offered drives up to 1 TB in that model series.

There is nothing else you can upgrade.
