I want to say first that I love the Hp Omen 17-ap010nr, from its sleek design to its mechanical keyboard. However, I absolutely hate the matte screen. Everything seems so blurry and the colors are totally off (usually seem lighter). What I want to know, is it possible to remove the matte screen either through some outside service or on your own?
If not, can I replace the screen? The problem with this is that 1. There doesn't seem to be any screws around the display to remove the screen. 2. Where can I even get a panel that fits perfectly?
I understand doing this will void the warranty, but once I noticed this I just can't unsee it (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
If you ask me it seems kind of pointless to even have a matte screen for a gaming laptop in the first place. For god sake it's for gaming I'm not gonna be playing anything outside with something this bulky! But I feel like most commercial laptops/monitors are going towards matte screen these days and HP is just following the trend while losing touch with their stakeholders. (sorry for the rant, just want to get that out there) Thanks in advance.

The matte screen will be built in to the panel sealed. You will have to replace the whole LED panel like with any laptop.
Here are the instructions on how to access the panel.
I assume you are out of warranty? If not, I would consider waiting to take it apart.

So I went around a bit to try and find a glossy replacement panel. And was told that 120 hz screens only come in matte...
Is this true?
I managed to find the model number of the monitor: B173HAN01.4
Is there anything I can do?

Yeah, I checked with http://laptopscreen.com where they sell all sorts of displays, and they told me that 120 hz screens are all matte these days.
Do you know somewhere else I can check out?
