Hello @DesolateNation3
Would you tell us what your Omen product number is please?
If you open the HP Support Assistant, it will be at the bottom of the window.
Are you having heat issues when you play games?
What does the Omen Command Centers temps read when playing?

HP Omen 15-dc0051nr. Model # 3UK57UA. I have not used it for anything, yet. Aside from initial setup and updating drivers. As, I’m afraid to burn it out before I learn how to maintain it properly. I would like to get a VR system. And, find out which WMR system is best for it. And, information on this specific laptop regarding this topic is non-existent. Any help or information would be much appreciated. Especially, from fellow users. Thanks!

OH, you want to know which VR system to buy. Thats completely subjective and is up to you do decide what system looks best to you. VR systems all pretty much have the same requirements.
A USB 3 port and HDMI port are required.
There is no special optimising needed for running VR.
Simply run the Omen Command Center and monitor you temperatures while gaming. If its running in the upper 90s, its running too hot and can be a problem.

I read through some posts earlier about setting your max processor speed to 99%. And that would stop it from throttling. And, would keep temps down in the 70s. Is that true? I haven’t updated the BIOS yet, either. I’ve read mixed reviews on that.

Wait to use it first see how it does.
If its overheating, then try setting the max speed to 99. You will have to experiement. Your sweet spot might be 95.
This should help prevent the cpu from turbo mode.
IF you have extreme issues with overheating after that, I would contact HP Support for warranty help.
Some people have had to use Intels xtu program to undervolt and I say you shouldnt have to do that.
