Pressing certain keys(QWERASDF) while holding Spacebar doesn't register at all. The Omen 16 is marketed as having "26-Key Rollover anti-ghosting key technology" so I'm wondering if my Omen 16 MAX, being marketed as the upgrade form the 16, is defective.
What I've tried:
-Turning off sticky/filter keys
-Performing a hard power reset
-Uninstalling keyboard drivers
-Resetting Omen Gaming software

Hi @Lemuls,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand that on your OMEN MAX 16, pressing the Spacebar together with certain keys such as QWERASDF causes those keys not to register. You have already tried disabling sticky/filter keys, doing a hard reset, reinstalling the keyboard drivers, and resetting OMEN Gaming Hub.
The OMEN MAX 16 specifications do list 26-key rollover anti-ghosting key technology, so this behavior is worth testing further rather than assuming it is normal.
Please try the following:
Restart the notebook and enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI by pressing Esc repeatedly at startup, then F2.
Run the available keyboard test and test the affected keys there, particularly the spacebar and Q/W/E/R/A/S/D/F.
If the same key combinations fail in the UEFI keyboard test, please provide the Failure ID if one is generated.
If the combinations work correctly in the UEFI test but fail only in Windows, let us know, as this would help narrow the issue to the Windows/software environment.
Please also provide the exact product number of your OMEN MAX 16 (you can press Fn + Esc to display the product information).
This will help determine whether we are looking at a keyboard hardware issue or a Windows/software-related behavior.
