Hi Guys
I am LOVING my new machine.
Like always I am having a few teething problems.
Being color blind I cannot see the keys on the keyboard.
They are red, but lit up very dimly.
Can I change the color of the back lighting?
And hw do I do this?
Secondly, I cannot find the HP Omen Control program on my machine.
I do have a logitech wireless mouse plugged in.
I can find HP OMEN Mouse X9000, but no HP OMEN Control.
Do I have to go and download this program & install it?
Lastly, when I play World of Warcraft & try to use the F keys {F1 F2 etc} it doesnt seem to work.
EG: I press F5 & the keyboard ligting goes off.
Thanks in advance

Hey there! @Blairski, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!
I understand that you would like to get HP control center utility software for your laptop.
Don't worry I will try to help you out.
1. It is not possible to change the color of the keyboard anymore HP has stopped the option of changing backlight colors of the keyboard.
2. Please download and install HP control center utility using this link.
3. You can adjust the brightness of the keyboard once you install HP control center utility on your PC.
4. Please use this link to update HP OMEN Mouse X9000 drivers.
5. You can refer this article to enable function keys on your laptop.
Please let me know the outcome.
Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂

Thank ypu muchly MrRobot :}
I have disabled in the bios & downloaded the control centre & mouse.
I have gone into the control centre and made a profile, & adjusted the backlighting to 300%.
However I notice no change in the brightness of the keys.
I also note there is nowhere to save my changes.
Is there an article that teaches me how to use the Control centre?
Thank you again for your help

@Blairski, Thanks for the response.
As you mentioned even after increasing the backlight brightness it makes no changes.
Please update BIOS from this link and check if it helps.
If the issue still persists that would be the maximum output supported from the backlight.
Please refer this article to know how to use HP omen control software using this link.
Let me know if this helps!
Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂
