Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb3000 (B89XHAV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Not sure why but the keyboard on the right side around the backspace and near the number pad is bulging outwards, it's definitely not the battery cause that's not placed there, I think the chasis might be bent due to heat because the gpu lies under that part, I had just bought this 3 months ago.  Victus 15 fa3000

Hi,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand your concern, especially since the laptop is only around three months old. A keyboard/chassis area that is physically bulging should not be considered normal, and I would recommend treating this as a hardware concern rather than attempting to correct the chassis yourself.

Please try the following checks:

  1. Power off the laptop completely and disconnect the AC adapter.
  2. Do not press down on the bulging area or attempt to bend the chassis back into position.
  3. Check the bottom cover and the keyboard/palm-rest area for any additional swelling, gaps, deformation, or unusual heat.
  4. If you notice swelling, excessive heat, a chemical smell, smoke, or any other battery-related abnormality, stop using the laptop immediately and do not connect it to the charger.
  5. Do not open the laptop or attempt to remove the battery yourself.

Although you believe the battery is not located beneath that particular area, the bulging should still be physically inspected to determine whether it is related to the chassis, keyboard assembly, battery, or another internal component.
