Hello HP Community and Support Team,

I am writing to report a serious quality control issue regarding my HP Victus 16 gaming laptop and the response I received from the Authorized Service Center.

After a liquid spill accident, I paid to have my keyboard replaced at an official HP Authorized Service Center to ensure the device remained in top condition. However, the result has been incredibly disappointing.

The Current Situation:

  1. Defective Replacement: The new keyboard has significant flexing and produces a loud squeaking sound, particularly on the WASD keys and the surrounding area.

  2. Service Response: I immediately contacted the service center about this. They acknowledged that the keys are squeaking and flexing, but they claimed this is "normal behavior" for the replacement part.

Why this is unacceptable: As a gamer, I bought the Victus model specifically for its performance and build quality. The original factory keyboard was solid and stable. It is impossible to accept that wobbly, squeaking keys are "normal" for a gaming laptop where the WASD keys are used constantly. The device currently feels like a cheap imitation due to this repair.

I am requesting an escalation of this case. Is it really HP's official stance that a squeaking keyboard is "standard quality" after an authorized repair? I request a proper fix with a non-defective part.

Looking forward to a solution, not an excuse.

Best regards,
