Hi @RG786,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

It sounds like the update may have caused some performance issues with your laptop. Here are a few steps you can take to try to improve the performance:

Check for Updates: Make sure that Windows and all your drivers are up to date. Sometimes, new updates can fix performance issues.

Adjust Power Settings: Go to Control Panel > Power Options and select "High Performance" mode. This can help improve performance, but it may reduce battery life.

Update Graphics Drivers: Go to the AMD website and download the latest graphics drivers for your Radeon graphics card. Install them and restart your laptop.

Check for Background Processes: Close any unnecessary programs running in the background, as they can use up system resources and cause lag.

Reduce In-Game Graphics Settings: Lowering the graphics settings in Valorant can help improve FPS. Try reducing the resolution and lowering other settings like texture quality and effects.

Check for Overheating: Make sure that your laptop is not overheating, as this can cause performance issues. Use a cooling pad if necessary and ensure that the vents are not blocked.

Scan for Malware: Run a full system scan with your antivirus software to check for any malware that may be causing performance issues.

If none of these steps help, you may want to consider rolling back the update or performing a system restore to a point before the update was installed.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
