Hello I am trying to pair my LG NB3530A Bluetooth speaker with my laptop it shows as paired but connected in the Band Olufsen control panel. The speaker works fine with my Iphone. Can anyone suggest if there is  an updated driver that I need to download?

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand, your Bluetooth speakers connect but no sound from them,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: https://hp.care/2aSlUnS

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Is your external Bluetooth Speakers connected?

Did those speakers work earlier?

Have you checked the volume in volume mixer?

Have you set the Bluetooth speakers default?

If not, I suggest you try these steps:

  1. Right, click on speakers icon (in the taskbar) and select Volume mixer.
  2. Make sure it's not Mute

Also, Right, click on speakers icon (in the taskbar) and select playback devices and ensure your external speakers are set as default device.

Update BIOS by following these steps from the link: https://hp.care/2FRAxqf.

Also, try to disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth speakers to your notebook: https://hp.care/2Cm1yNA.

Let me know how this goes,

For I shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again,

Have a great day 🙂

Cheers 🙂

Are you dumb?

I already specified the model and serial number of my pc.

My bluetooth speaker works find with my iphone so its clearly a HP compatiblity issue

Please dont insult my intelligence by asking me if the volume is turned up

It is turned up but I cannot select the speaker in the Bang and Olufsen control panel so there is some kind of issue here

Please try again for a solution

Are you dumb?
Aren't we all, considering this is a chat forum and all we can do, is write! 😉
That said, I understand this could be frustrating at times, but please understand that all I'm doing, is trying to help you and I shall continue to do so until we fix this.

The product and serial number? I'm afraid you haven't mentioned it, please check your first post and let me know what you are referring to! because I don't see it, also: OMEN by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx this is not sufficient or specific.

That said, please provide more details of what you've done, so we don't start with the basics going forward 🙂

Thanks for your time and patience 🙂

@sastheman

Thank you for responding,

It's great to have you back 😉

Could you explain exactly what you've done so far?

In the meanwhile, we could run an extensive system test:

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

  3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.

  4. Click Extensive test

  5. Click Run once.

If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) so you have it available when you contact HP Customer Support. The information is also available in Test Logs on the main menu.

If the test passes, let's create a new user account and then try connecting the speakers. Follow steps from the link to create a new user account: Click Here.

Let me know how this goes,

Good Luck!

I have checked the volume settings, tried updating the bluetooth driver but the correct one is already installed,

All of the component tests passed the diagnostic tests

I dont think this is a hard ware issue as you can see from the screenshot its a software issue and the b and o control panel will not let me select the bluetooth device. Please try again

@sastheman,

As I understand you are still having issues related to Bluetooth. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

Let's try these 2 steps which should help you fix this problem.

Solution 1. Restart your Bluetooth service

1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key  and R at the same time to invoke the Run box.

2) Type services.msc and press Enter.

3) Right-click on Bluetooth related services (like Bluetooth Handsfree Service, Bluetooth Support Service) and click Restart.

4) Right-click on the Buletooth service again and this time click Properties.

5)Set the Startup type to Automatic. Then click OK.

6) Reboot your Windows 10 and use Bluetooth to connect your device with Windows 10 to see if it works.

Solution 2. Reinstall your Bluetooth driver

1) On your keyboard, press the  the Windows logo key  and X at the same time to invoke the quick-access menu.

2) Click Device Manager.

3) Right-click on your Bluetooth device driver in the Bluetooth section and click Uninstall device.

4) Download the correct driver from your Bluetooth device manufacturer’s website and install it on your PC.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

bluetooth services.PNG

Hi Jeet, I tried re-starting the services and changing them all to automatic state but I was unable to change BluetoothUserService_3052b to Automatic as it kept coming up with 'The parameter is incorrect'

bluetooth.PNGNext I uninstalled the top 3 bluetooth drivers and then simply rebooted as i cannot be bothered to find the individual drivers and all the drivers re-appeared after a reboot. None of the above has had any affect whatsoever. the sound from my laptop does not reach the speaker. I know its not the speaker as my iphone works perfectly. Please confirm my laptop is compatible with an LG NB3530A Bluetooth speaker. The Speaker still shows disconnected in the B and O control panel

@sastheman,

Thank you for replying,

As I understand you have tried to follow the steps suggested and still having the issue, don't worry as I have a few other steps which should help you resolve this issue.

Your Bluetooth speaker might be paired with your PC but not connected. Here’s how to fix that:

  1. Make sure your Bluetooth speaker is turned on.
  2. On the far right of the Windows taskbar, press and hold (right-click) Volume , and then select Playback devices.
  3. On the Playback tab, select the Bluetooth speaker, press and hold (or right-click) it, and then select Connect.
  4. Select your Bluetooth speaker, and then select Set default. Music should play on your Bluetooth speaker now.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you try these steps here:

In Windows 10, the status text for Bluetooth devices changed in Settings  > Devices  > Bluetooth & other devices . Bluetooth devices will only show as Connected when the device is actually in use (for example, a Bluetooth speaker that’s connected and has music playing over it). When the device isn’t being used, the status text will show as Paired.

If your Bluetooth device isn’t working, you can try removing the device and pairing it again. In Bluetooth settings, select the Bluetooth device that’s paired but not working > Remove device > Yes to verify. After that, pair the device again. For more info about pairing devices, see Connect to Bluetooth devices.

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
