HP Omeno ax210ns
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have an HP Omen ax210ns which I use mostly for gaming. I have no problem playing different videogames on it (Fifa 19, Gta V etc. ) but when I connect my laptop to a TV through HDMI those games start lagging.

For example when I play Fifa in the same time on both screens, it runs smooth on my laptop's one but it's lagging on my TV.  I also tried to set "Use display 2 as main one" and "Show only on display 2" but nothing changed. Same results changing cables or TV or using TV's game mode.

Any suggestion on how to fix this?

Thanks and sorry for my english.

@Chitammuò,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Have you tried to adjust the screen resolution and check if that helps.

If it is not doing it on the laptop screen then it is more likely the connection to the TV (the cable connecting it) or the drivers for that connection.

Let's start off by Running Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Download and install the troubleshooter from this link.

Now try to perform a Windows update:

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

If the issue persists, I would suggest here is to uninstall the display drivers from device manager:

Display drivers:

Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10

Select Device Manager.

Expand the entry. Right-click the problematic device and select Uninstall device.

You may need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

Now restart the computer and then update the Bios, and graphics card drivers from our HP support website, using this link.

If the issue persists, I would suggest here is to uninstall the HP Support Assistant from the control panel and then reinstall the latest version.

Download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

I would suggest here is to follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP Notebook PCs - Green Screen and Other Video Playback Issues (Windows 10)
