So I have only just started having this problem as of 2-3 days ago and I'm at my wits end. I will launch a game, it doesn't matter what game at this point but at the moment of writing this it is with War of Rights and World of Warships, I will play 2-5 seconds of the game, the screen will go black and the laptop will restart itself. When the laptop restarts the game is still running and the laptop has removed me from the server that I was playing on but kept all my tabs open. Ctl-alt-delete hasn't worked at all during this process and I'm starting to get really frustrated. I would appreciate any support.

Hello @SamSiegel
I don't know if I can solve your issue, but I can offer some suggestions.
- Which Omen do you have? Look up the product number in the HP Support Assistant.
- How long have you had it and are you under warranty?
- What version of Windows is running? Type winver in the Search Bar and hit the Enter key.
- Have you updated the drivers yourself or are you letting Windows do that? You can run the HP Support Assistant and let if search for updates also. Do this and see if anything changes.
- Are you playing while plugged into the power cord or does this only happen if gaming on battery?
- What are your temperatures while gaming? If you have the Omen Command Center, run it before starting a game and watch the temps. IF you only have the one screen (not and external screen also connected), then play the game in Window Mode so you can see the temps. If you don't have the Omen Command Center, then download a tool like HWMonitor and run it. NOTE: I realize you said it crashes seconds after opening a game, but I'm hoping you can still see the temps before it happens. First Watch the CPU temps. Then if it restarts again, run HWMonitor again and this time watch the GPU temps.
Let me know what you find so far. IF nothing changes, see if you have the UEFI Diagnostics and run the full set of Extensive Tests. This will take a few hours to run. Keep the power cord plugged in while testing.
F2 at startup will access the diagnostics.
