My factory HDD failed, so I replaced it with a SSD.
Unfortunately the restore sector on the old HDD was corrupted and I was not able to extract the data that was on it.
I reinstalled Windows 10, but now none of the function keys work, like screen brightness, volume etc.
I tried to use the HP online system restore website, but it is hopelessly broken.
I tried to install each of the drivers for my model one at a time, but none of the fixed the issue.
I've tried multiple community suggestions, but none has worked.
I tried re-installing the Omen control center, but now I'm getting the dll error.
Has anyone successfully used the online restore option or is there restore media online anywhere?

The HP System Event Utility is used to get the Fn keys to work:
This package contains the HP System Event Utility, which enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed. For example, HP System Event Utility enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information. This package is provided for the supported computer models running a supported operating system.

The package you linked worked for me. Thanks!
All of the keyboard function buttons seem to be behaving as expected.
The cloud recovery tool, either online or through the MS store, never worked for me.
I found out later it cannot be used for Omen products.
At least they are not in the dropdown menus or in the table of supported products.
Unless HP refers to them by a different name, but I could not find anything that would suggest that.
Thanks again for your help. 🙂
