I have an Omen. The model is a PC 17-ck0000
I have been using gaming laptops for decades, and there are always very intuitive fixes in the Windows settings, where you tell Windows how you want your machine to respond to things like hitting the power button, closing the lid, opening it, etc.
After a weird, sort of catastrophic failure of my machine, where a game crashed it, and somehow the laptop was driven back to a very, very primitive state, where ALL my documents, photos, videos, and every file and all self-installed program just disappeared, I was able to get up and running by using System Recovery, and found an automatic recovery point from like 20 minutes before the laptop crashed.
Everything is mostly fine, save for two issues. One I think will be beyond the scope of this forum, but the other, more mild issue, is what I am asking about here. I cannot find any setting in the power and sleep page that wakes the laptop from sleep by opening the lid. Admittedly this is a mild issue, since I can simply hit the power button. But all the things I have done with all my gaming laptops, to automatically wake from sleep by opening the lid, no longer seem to work.
I have used this laptop since I purchased it early in 2022, mostly without incident.
Here are my machine's specs:
