Hello HP Support,

I have been facing a flickering issue with my laptop for the past 10 days. The screen, power button, and LED indicators all start flickering, especially when the charger is connected.

One scenario I observed today: while the laptop was charging, the flickering began. When I removed the charger, the flickering stopped, and I briefly heard the fans running for a second or two.

I checked the battery status using HP Support Assistant (image attached), then updated all drivers and BIOS, and ran the extensive system test. During the extensive test, the screen continued to flicker, and I have recorded a video of this issue (FlickeringVideo).

In the video, even after removing the charger, the flickering persists. I have also attached images from the extensive test results.

For reference, the primary battery current was showing around 1100 mA in one of the battery tests.

I request your urgent assistance in diagnosing and resolving this issue, as it is significantly impacting my work. Please advise on any immediate actions I should take from my side.

Thank you,
Divyansh Saharan

Hi @divyansh1_1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing a flickering issue with your laptop.

We request you try the following steps and check:

1. Perform Power drain:

1) Shut down the computer.

2) Unplug all the Adapters and peripherals connected.

3) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.

4) Plug in the Adapter.

5) Try to turn on the computer.

2. Reset the CMOS

Turn off the computer.
Press and hold the Windows + V keys, and then simultaneously press and hold the power button.
When the CMOS Reset screen displays or you hear beeping sounds, release the Windows + V keys.
Press Enter to restart the computer.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
