HP Omen

Hi

I was jolted awake last night at around 4am, my HP laptop exploded  audibly and started to sizzle in the same room I was sleeping in. There was a lot of smoke and my family evacuated to the back garden at such a late hour. Very upsetting and frightening as you can imagine. The laptop was shut down, not plugged in to the power and laying flat on a desk in the room when this occured. We all had to bring our duvets and sleep downstairs as the smell of smoke was so awful upstairs. We have all the windows open and are buring scented candles in a effort to get rid of the smell.

There were no warning signs before this happened, the laptop was working perfectly beforehand.

There is melted damage on the laptop.

It's a pity this happened I liked this laptop model, I have no laptop now.

Can you help us please

Thank you

Daniel

I dont have a solution, but could you share which Omen laptop it is and how old it is? Lots of other posts about swollen/bulging batteries. Mine is just over 2 years old, Omen 15.
