Pavilion 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, suddenly my HP Pavilion Gaming laptop (model 15, product ak090nz) cannot charge its battery. I have tried to uninstall the battery controler (Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System) and it didn't solve my issue. Is there any test I can perform to check whether I should change my battery, or if it is a software issue?

Thanks and regards,

Léonore

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are facing an issue with your computer where the battery is not charging, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to help.

Have you used HP Support Assistant?

Recommend you run HP Support Assistant on your computer to make sure all the drivers are updated. Click here

Once all the drivers are updated, you can use HP Support Assistant to run a battery test on your computer.

If the battery test passes, recommend you to check the power options and calibrate the battery. Refer to this article for assistance.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi,

I ran a battery check on my laptop, and it indeed indicates that the battery is reporting a failure and needs to be changed.

Thank you for your answer!!

Hi again,

I looked through the HP store and I couldn't find the battery I need, is there anywhere else I could buy it?

Thanks again,
