Laptop lagging while plugged in

I have only used this laptop for 1 month bought it brand new and it worked perfectly before all of a sudden while plugged in it starts lagging games have fps fluctuate and even normal use laptop lags alot while charging on the other hand if it is on battery it works perfectly fine i have updated windows and checked for heating issues but it does not seem to be heating or anything. Im not sure what the issue can be as its not heating up or anything.

- Focus on component test: AC Adapter

I ran the test and the ac adapter test only runs for couple seconds and than the result comes as cancelled.
