Hello

 

The other night the internal keyboard to my HP Omen has started typing multiple characters, and the space bar is not responding. I have done the HP UEFI diagnostics test and i got a result for a keyboard failure error. Using external keyboards works as expected, so it is definitely the internal keyboard itself. The issue is puzzling because it is not a case of water damage or anything as obvious as that, or a firmware issue as my drivers are up to date.

 

I am out of warranty, and it seems i am not eligible for the HP Care Package, so how exactly do i get this fixed??? None of the information on any of the multiple HP sites is useful at finding out how to get this addressed, nor is the "virtual assistant" any use at all if the issue happens to be non-trivial
