Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This all started with my laptop not being able to charge and needing to be on a charger I did what I usually do to fix this problem by taking out and putting back in the battery.

then my laptop stopped working completely and I got a caps lock flash code(3 long 2 short) telling me I have a motherboard problem I tore down and reassembled the laptop and now when it boots it doesn’t show the hp logo and just gets hot and has the fans whirring. I can access the bios but nothing there really changes anything and when I try to access any other menus like the dial gnostics it has the same problem and just has a blank black screen. I have tried reseating the ram, clearing the bios, and powering it off and on again multiple times(about 15 now) and still nothing helps what else can I try to fix this?

sorry for the delay in response.

I’ve tried everything in the article, and I just finished attempting to use a recovery usb from hp cloud recovery utility by using a separate computer. That led to a screen reading

“Recovery not supported under current configuration, please enable acceleration option for Intel Smart Response Technology and try again.”

I don’t have access to any option that sounds like that so then I resorted to attempting to reinstall windows 10 on the laptop but then I realized I would my lose my files so now I am waiting on a part that will let me back them up that is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

Also here’s what happened when I attempted other methods

WIN+B

I reached a screen that read

“The BIOS recovery files cannot be found or the files are corrupted.

Using another computer and USB flash drive, download the latest BIOS files from the HP website and create a BIOS USB recovery drive for the PC that needs recovery.

Insert the BIOS USB recovery drive into the PC that needs recovery and restart the PC

To learn more about creating a USB recovery drive, go to the HP website

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833”

I then attempted to go the link which is an abandoned link. So then I found the closest thing to the bios recovery software only to find it does now have a recovery flash drive option.

then I tried to use the cloud hp recovery tool to make a recovery flash drive and that got the laptop to boot into the error screen at the top of this message.

so far the closest I’ve gotten is launching the laptop into windows by having it boot from a bootable windows 10 usb. But all the recovery options there lead to dead ends. Leading back to what I said earlier reinstalling windows as my main option. Also I didn’t get your mail thingy.
