When you do not correctly identify your notebook, you tie our hands behind our backs. Help us to help you.

When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key.

Type in msinfo32 and press enter.

The ninth line is the SKU and the HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.

An alternative method:

Take a look at the bottom of the notebook among the tiny letters and locate the ProdID.

The ProdID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook.

Unfortunately, mainstream tier notebooks, such as Pavilions do not usually have the Battery Care function.

Check in your notebook's BIOS to see if it is present.

If it is there, you should be able to select a percentage of charge, HP recommends 80%, at which the battery will limit the "full" charge.
