Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I want to limit my battery charge on my HP Victus 16 to any percent below 100%. I've read the forums and have seen the solutions to people using HP OMEN, but have yet to find a viable solution for my laptop. I have seen some people use omen gaming hub, but customising on omen gaming hub is only allowed for OMEN laptops, not HP Victus.

I have also seen people suggest going to the BIOS menu and using the 'battery care' option but, I have not been able to find a solution to it. My current version of BIOS is "F.14".

I really hope someone can give me a working solution. Also hope this will help a lot others.

Hello @Pls_help_me2

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

(1) You are using the latest BIOS version.

(2) I checked bios revision history of <Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 >.

There are no updates/fixes for this feature.

Check <BIOS> if there is a function "Maximize battery health".

If not, I can only recommend the following:

Use the battery (from time to time) and let it discharge to 30% capacity, then recharge it. Do not leave the battery permanently at 100% capacity when the charger is connected. Use the sleep mode without the charger connected to slowly discharge the battery overnight.

Observe the behavior of the battery for a few weeks ...

Good luck

But isn't there a battery limiter by HP which limits a battery. Is this an official tutorial?

Yes sir, I understand that I could do that but, mostly use my laptop for gaming purposes and playing First Person Shooters on battery affects the fps by a lot. Thus I am trying to find a way to limit my battery.

No it doesn't. It shows advanced battery options but it does not show battery care option...

Hello @Pls_help_me2

The solution is that "there is currently no solution" !

Please contact HP Support if a BIOS update will be provided. That is all you can do ...

Of course you can follow my recommendations.

All the best
