Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (599K0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My Victus 15-fa0000 laptop got BSOD lately and crash on gaming and rendering. When checking on reliability I got windows critical events hardware error after my app crash.
The BSOD stop code : dpc_watchdog_violation
The app crash mention either : AppHangB1, AppCrash, and Bex64.
The windows critical mention this on bucket ID : LKD_0x141_DxgKdxFailed_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys_Ampere_3D
When searching for online answer mostly say I had corrupted/conflicted driver but I know nothing. I would say the apps are not optimalized but before this error event using that apps already fine with no issue.

Already trying the method online like :
-check sfc /scannow and dism repair
-adjust power setting and disable fast startup
-updating windows and nvidia driver to recent version
-reinstalling windows and nvidia driver
-reverting nvidia driver to older one
-changing thermal paste and thermal pad with 0.5mm
-system check (got bad life battery and fan with <100 RPM)
-changing TDR on regedit

Any idea to fix this? Thank you

Try these two things and report back with results:

1. From nvidia app global settings, set power management mode to "Prefer maximum performance)

2. Open device manager an disable these two device:

  • NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
  • NVIDIA High Definition Audio

If issue remains, then let me know Is your laptop under warrenty?

Setting power management to prefer maximum make the app got crash in first minute.
Trying option number 2 make no difference before and after setting the power. Still got hardware error DxgKdxFailed. For now using NVIDIA game ready 552.44.

No, my laptop not under warranty
