Hi @venom7,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To check the RAM usage on your HP Pavilion Gaming 15.
- Task Manager: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and go to the Performance tab. Here, you can see detailed RAM usage.
- Processes: In the Processes tab, identify applications consuming high memory.
- Startup: Check the Startup tab for programs that start automatically and disable unnecessary ones.
For High RAM Usage:
- Close Unnecessary Apps: Shut down any apps you don’t need.
- Manage Startup Programs: Disable apps that aren't necessary at startup.
- Upgrade RAM: Consider adding more RAM if usage is consistently high.
Cooling Fan Irregularities:
- Check for Dust: Clean the vents and fans to improve airflow.
- Update Drivers: Ensure that all drivers, especially those related to the system and cooling, are up-to-date.
- HP Support Assistant: Use the tool to run diagnostics and update software.
Monitoring Tools:
- HP Command Center: Adjust fan settings or performance profiles.
- Task Manager: Monitor CPU and GPU temperatures, which can affect fan speeds.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
