HP Pavillion 15-cx0056wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A) I'm looking for a docking station compatible with HP Pavillion 15-cx0056wm gaming laptop to connect 2 external monitors for work use.  So far as I can determine, the laptop doesn't have a USB Type-C port.

B) If I also want to use one of the external monitors for gaming, will the recommended docking station support gaming (with no loss of speed, resolution, etc), or should I connect one external monitor direct to the laptop via HDMI for gaming use?

Hello @SageSnail

Your laptop wasn't setup for such a configuration since there is no Thunderbolt port for the type of dock you want.

You would have to use the HDMI port for one monitor, then add a USB (USB Type-C) to HDMI Adapter or what ever your monitor connection requires.

Like this example from Best Buy in the USA...

Insignia™ - USB Type-C-to-HDMI Adapter - White - Front_Zoom. 1 of 2 . Swipe left for next.

Note that running triple monitors is not ideal for a GTX 1050ti, depending on what game you are playing. Your FPS will drop because of the work load on the video card, not the adapters.
