Hi Experts,
I just bought the HP Victus 16-R0177ng recently and not much of information available for the support on SSD's. My laptop only have 1 M.2 SSD slot thus I want to opt-in for more storage. I plan to install WD SN850X 4TB storage, as replacing the current 512GB in it. Kindly help to advice if the said SSD support this laptop. I'm running Intel Core i7-13700h CPU with nVidia RTX4070 GPU.
Thanks in advance.

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
Chapter 1 has the drive capacities HP offered in the model series.
The drive capacities listed in the manual are normally just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum capacity supported.
If you want to install NVMe SSD with more than 1 TB of storage, I don't see any reason why you couldn't, but that is up to you, and no one here can 100% guarantee that a larger capacity SSD beyond 1 TB GB will work.
The Crucial SSD report for your notebook indicates that they offer drives up to 4 TB for the model series.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Your Victus is absolutely compatible with a 4TB M.2 2280 Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD, such as the 4TB Crucial P3 Plus (p/n: CT4000P3PSSD8).
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
