I am experiencing periodic system micro-freezes (around 0.5–1 second) on my Victus by HP 15-fb2000 (Ryzen 7 8845HS, RTX 3050).

The issue occurs randomly every few minutes, during both idle and heavy load (including competitive gaming), with no abnormal CPU/GPU usage and no thermal throttling.

I have already performed advanced troubleshooting:

  • Updated BIOS to the latest available (F.09)

  • EC reset

  • Checked DPC latency (LatencyMon shows no critical driver issues)

  • Tested different power plans and NVMe power states

  • Enabled/disabled fTPM for testing

The issue persists, and it seems related to firmware or Windows compatibility.
I also noticed that Windows 11 25H2 is not officially listed for this model on HP’s driver page.

Could you please confirm:

  1. Whether this model is officially validated for Windows 11 25H2

  2. If there are known firmware (BIOS/EC) issues related to micro-stutter

  3. Whether a BIOS update is planned to address this behavior

This issue significantly impacts gaming performance.

Thank you.

Hello. I was trying to do the steps as suggested bellow. But I cant find HP One agent Service on my laptop. Do you have other recommendations to solve this the same problem? By the way own Victus 15-fa 1463TX.

For you, Perform clean boot it will disable 3rd party startup apps and the one causing this. You can use those app normally when open it just won't launch automatically.

Perform Clean Boot:

1. Press Windows + R, type msconfig, hit Enter.

2. General tab: "Select Selective startup," uncheck "Load startup items."

3. Services tab: Check "Hide all Microsoft services," then "Disable all"; Apply.

4. Startup tab: Click "Open Task Manager," disable all enabled items; close Task Manager.

5. OK > Restart; test

If issue remains and if you have intel CPU, then download DDU (Display driver uninstaller) from browser.

  • Then Boot into safe mode, then open DDU, and if the Options window doesn’t appear, click the "Options" button; then check "Prevent downloads of drivers from Windows Update when Windows search for a driver for a device" (found at the bottom), and after selecting these, close the Options window.
  • Set the device type to GPU.  Select GPU brand to Intel, click "Clean and Restart". When the system boots normally after this, the uninstallation process is complete.
  • Now visit HP driver page of your laptop, download and install Intel VGA driver or use hp support assistent if installed. (Don't use driver directly from Intel that they may be causing freezing issue).

After installation, restart and check.

Hello, thaks for helping me solving this problem I appreciate your effort to help. I tried every procedure you have mentioned but I havent tried to not use the intel driver directly to my laptop. And unfortunately it doesn't solve the stuttering of  the game. Can you please show me or give the steps on how to not use the intel driver directly to my device. Thank you for the effort once again. Hopefully it will solve the problem.

After using ddu, you just have to download HP Intel VGA driver from HP driver page of your laptop. Or simple run windows update. It will update automatically.
