Hi @DoubtTM

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Here's how you can troubleshoot and hopefully fix the issue:

1. Discord Settings:

  • Input Sensitivity: Go to User Settings > Voice & Video > Turn off Auto Input Sensitivity and adjust it manually (set around -40 dB).
  • Echo Cancellation & Noise Suppression: Enable both in the Voice & Video settings.

2. Windows Settings:

  • Set Default Mic: Right-click Sound icon > Sounds > Recording tab > Set your mic as default.
  • Disable Audio Enhancements: In Recording > Properties > Enhancements tab > Check Disable all sound effects.
  • Prevent Power Saving:
    • Go to Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings > Disable USB Selective Suspend.

3. Update Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers > Right-click Update driver for your audio device.

4. Reinstall Discord:

  • Uninstall and reinstall Discord to ensure it's not a software issue.

5. Test Mic in Other Apps:

  • Test your mic in Skype, Zoom, or Voice Recorder to check if the delay happens everywhere or just in Discord.

These steps should help fix the mic delay in Discord!

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
