Dear HP Support Team,

I am writing again regarding a serious issue with my HP Victus 15-fa2082wm, and I expect a clear and technically accurate response.

In OMEN Gaming Hub, I only have the following modes available:

- Eco
- Default
- Quiet

The Performance Mode is completely missing, which is unacceptable for a gaming laptop of this class. This directly limits the performance of my device.

Additionally, my laptop came with an original 120W HP adapter included in the box. I have now come across multiple discussions suggesting that this wattage may not be sufficient to fully utilize the hardware, and that a 200W adapter might be required.

This raises serious concerns:

1. Is the included 120W adapter insufficient for this model?
2. If a higher wattage adapter (such as 200W) is required to unlock full performance, why was it not included in the box?
3. Are you expecting customers to spend additional money just to achieve the performance that should have been available from the start?
4. Will purchasing a 200W official HP adapter actually resolve the missing Performance Mode issue, or is this unrelated?

At this point, it feels like the device is artificially limited, and I am being pushed toward extra expenses just to get the expected performance from a gaming laptop.

I want a direct and honest explanation:

- Is my device working as intended, or is it restricted?
- What is the official solution to unlock full performance?

Please do not respond with generic troubleshooting steps. I need a precise technical clarification.

I am quite frustrated with this situation and expect a prompt and transparent response.

Best regards,
Mirfayz

Looks more like overthinking. Was that even there when you first got this laptop and  open hp omen app?

Hi @nodya

In the new version of OMEN Gaming Hub, the default mode is the performance mode from the previous version of OMEN Gaming Hub

As for the adapter, it only makes a difference if you don't charge the battery while playing; otherwise, I don't see any difference between using the 120-watt model and the 200-watt one. Now, if you use additional monitors or external hard drives, you might want to consider using a 200-watt power supply.
