I bought this laptop 4 days ago, and it was advertised that the laptop's battery can last 7 hours until it reaches 0%, and well that's what got me to buy this laptop, and only few days of using it and i keep noticing that my laptop's battery drains fast, earlier today it went from 100% to 9% in literally an hour, I really hope there's something i can do to make my laptop last longer, i barely even play games on it i mostly just do some light video editing, photo editing, and drawing with a graphic tablet. i only play games while the laptop is plugged so i can get maximum performance.
Here's what I already did:
- I've followed the HP Support tutorial video on how to calibrate the battery (I did that Twice)
- I have made sure that I was using the power efficiency power plan during my usage
- I made sure to close all background and unnecessary apps to prevent the battery from draining
- I have went to the HP Support website and searched for my exact product by adding the serial number and product ID and i have downloaded every driver for my laptop and made sure all my drivers are up-to-date.
My laptop is still under warranty since i just bought it, I'm still not sure if my battery is faulty or there's something wrong I'm doing, I hope someone helps with my issue, I'm going to really appreciate it.

Hi @RoRed
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are facing an issue with your computer, I am glad to assist you today.
Since you have tried calibrating the battery my suggestion is to connect with phone support.
I see that there is an issue with the hardware and may need repair.
